I have adopted a number of policies to help keep my clients (and myself) safe. So what can you expect from a visit by Merry-Andrew Afoot in 2020?
- I take my temperature daily. If I feel that visiting your school will not be safe I will immediately notify you.
- For the safety of all of my clients, I am limiting my time spent at each school to one performance. Also, I am adjusting my schedule to a maximum of two schools per week, with at least three days between schools. This allows my props and costumes to sit untouched for three days minimum between performances.
- I will arrive wearing a face mask and, except for the performance, I will wear the mask during my entire stay at your school. Of course I follow your policies and rules for keeping everyone safe!
- Please provide a spacious performance area that is not used regularly by students. For example, a fellowship hall or large meeting room would work well. I cannot perform in a classroom, gymnasium, or other spaces where students play and work daily.
- Yes! I will perform outdoors, weather permitting.
- The audience size should be small enough to maintain safe distancing in the space. I realize that every school will have their own policies. I prefer an audience of no more than 30 people.
- To help maintain social distancing, I will set up before the audience arrives.
- Once the performance begins I will remove my face mask for the show. But I will remain a minimum of 6 feet away from the audience at all times. As soon as the show is finished the audience should leave the performance space, rather than staying to play.
Performances and workshops designed especially for primary classroom reading curriculum!!!
